Where's the BEST Place to Buy a Garrett?

I know, I know, I may be starting a bit of trouble, forgive me! Can you Garrett users suggest the best place to buy a Garrett. My wife and I are thinking of the Ace 250 Sports Pack. We are fairly new at this so are testing the waters so to speak! Who carries the best price with good customer service? We are located in Central NY State, our local dealer has minimal stock. Thanks

Take the spaces out of the word detection. This site won't let me post the web address without the spaces. You get a pick of 5 free gifts. No tax if you are out of CA. $212

Thanks awhitster, I couldn't find the new Ace 250 Sports pack there? Appreciate the reply.

I bought mine on eBay. I paid $249.95 for the sports pack which included free shipping. There is a seller out there asking $349.95 or best offer. My best was $249.95 and it worked. I received it in 2 days.

Thanks, I'll take a peek!

Wow dax-dog, you did well! I don't see any best offer options today! Thanks again, have fun with it!

i didn't get the sports pack but i bought my ace 250 at Hobby Town USA. it was 199.99+tax out the door (i live 5 mins from the store). thanks to our lovely tax rate here in TN, it wound up being 218.49 out the door.

I agree with Uncle Willy. I have purchsed 3 units through RichardnTn at Backwoods Detectors, he is a sponsor of this web site. You can find his link on the Tesero forum. He is good to talk to, takes trade ins sells new and used units. I got a great deal on my Infinium through Richard.

So thats the trick spaces. You can't even PM sites.

Thanks to all! I received many PM's and replies here. I appreciate all the suggestions and help. I did check out each one except for Backwoods Detectors as the link didn't have a place to enter the store and compare prices. Do they have a website does anyone know? It seems the best deal so far for everyone else interested that daxdog did the best on eBay, 250 for a 250 Sports pack delivered and tax free! I really don't want to feed the eBay giant anymore as they have increased their fees tremendously since 1998 when I started using them and already tapped my pocket well! A few replies missed the Sports pack detail in my original post, I only want the Ace 250 Sports pack deal as it comes with the extra coil and a few other goodies right from Garrett in the box. Thanks again, appreciate the help and insight!

I would have to say Kellyco. I got a hell of a deal from them along with extras. Sport pack at there site is called the ACE250 Pro. Plus they allowed me to customize my pkg. as far as what i wanted as to what was included.

He's probably selling the sports pack.
Got to ask yourself (look at Garrett newsletter) is the extra stuff you get with the sports pack really worth
the money? The Ace without all that stuff is $212.00. I'd save the money and go with the Garrett as at is $212.00.
You might as well get it at KellyCo. The only thing I saw in the sports pack that might be of value is the
tote bag....but for $137.00??? or there abouts.

The big thing you get with the sports pack is the 9x12 coil. That's about a $100 coil. The tote is okay for storing stuff and the coverup for the detector box is pretty nice. The headphones suck and do not have volume control which is a must since the Ace 250 has no volume control.

Actually Robert Roy it is only about $86.00 more for the Sports Pack (Pro Pack). and you get two coils which was important to me as I believe the larger coil included in this deal would cost 100.00 by itself plus they include a few other goodies! The larger coil should increase some depth in some areas according to what I have read. As mentioned above the cover for the control box is a good piece as then I can work when the ground is wet with a bit of protection. Thanks again to all for input!
So thats the trick spaces. You can't even PM sites.
You got it. If they don't advertise on this site, they turn the name into something like this: www.%*#^&#.com. If you put spaces, it fools them. I guess they just aren't as smart as they think they are:rofl:
