I found this Question on another forum . and thought it was worth posting. If Money wasn't a factor . Where would you go Metal detecting ? I would go to the moon theres no pull tabs. Later Graw :yo:

Maybe no :pulltab:s but we have left a lot of junk behind. Old cars, wrenches, golf balls (guess they don't count), flag poles and lots of other metal this and that. Might want to use some discrimination just in case.....:laugh:

Uncle Willy wins on location. You can't argue with a time machine. However, given the cards that we have, if you detected the Pacific Islands where a lot of tourists go, and metal detectors aren't in the psyche of the local population, you will make an absolute killing. I spoke with the editor of the Gem and Treasure magazine a few years back, and he told me about a fellow who went to Bali, with the express purpose of detecting and after 6 weeks of hunting, he had himself around $18 000 for his effort!:surprised: That's if I remember it correctly. It was a very large sum of money. Far more than mere wages!
