So I have been trying to find older sites to find some older coins. Its not working. I have been churches, schools, parks. Nothing to old yet. The oldest coin I have found so far was a wheat penny, in my front yard. Where would you guys suggest going to find some older stuff? I think that i will be going to the beach next weekend with my wife to try our luck there, but so far, its all been loose change.

Jetman,most parks will produce older coins.The best places to search you probably drive by everyday.In my area most older parks are in the bad part of town.When I start hunting I usually find silver 3 out of four hunts.Wheat pennies are a good indicator silver is there my ratio 8 wheat's to a silver coin.Parks can't be hunted out very simple ask people in the area how old the park is that you are interested in hunting.As a new hunter don't waste your time hunting tot lots for old coins I don't.Your CZ will find deep coins,but you need a pin pointer to save time and retrieve those really 8-9 inch coins on the edge.
