Hello,

When I recieve my Explorer and have it setup what setting should I start with? Coins, Coins & Jewlery etc...? Smart Find or Digital? Is anybody from Southeastern Pennsylvania that has a good Discrimination pattern for this area? I am located in the North Wales, Pa. area which is about 20 miles Northwest of Phialadelphia.

Thanks for you help,

CD :help:

If you havent ever used the Explorer id recommend the factory settings to begin with. Get all those goody coins, jewerly and other collectables you want to find in the field and do some air testing. As far as which screen to use depends on how comfortable you are each has a wealth of info. In trashy areas the more disc and sensitivity the more nulling you will get. For me the less disc the better, i just disc out nails and crown caps.

I am a newbie with the Explorer also. I can tell you from my perspective is read and follow the suggestions of the experienced people on this forum. The second thing I did was to get an SunRay 8" coil and that helped a ton. I then got a SunRay X-1 probe and that was another big boost. Now it's just keep reading the manual, the forum, and after market books, and keep practicing. Regards...Jim
