Greetings to everyone!!! My very first MD will be arriving tom and my first hunt would be the backyard

I'm here in Riverside, California and I'm not really familiar with the legalities of MDing around here. I mean are parks ok? under the bleachers of local baseball or football fields ok?

Can't wait to get back home from work tom!

Thanks Y'all!!!!

All those places should be okay unless they are posted. Anywhere people have been or congregated are prime areas.

Check with your Parks and Recreation Dept. about 'tectin in the parks. At schools, it can vary as to who can give you permission. When I first started 'tectin, I tried getting in touch with the school principals and they were always too busy to talk to me. One finally referred me to the person in charge of the school district grounds maintainance. He turned out to be the right guy(after 2 yrs. of trying) and gave me permission to hunt ALL the schools in the district. Just be sure to get it in writing when obtaining permission. Just a little note with a signature will do. Good luck and happy hunting.

try this forum full of real nice folks, its for California.

Heck I even hang out there and I'm in Alberta.

Yeah the groundskeeper is the guy to contact. We don't have that problem out here, except for some private schools.
