Where to hunt

Hi and a Blessed Thanksgiving to all of you. We need to remember those people who have nothing and whom are struggling just to get enough to eat. Thousands of children die every day from starvation--so we need to be thankful where we live in America.

I was reading SeniorSeeker post about the price of gold being so high and that it really pays now to find some gold and silver. I have a question.

It seems to me that unless you live near a beach, that the chances of finding gold is very, very slim. I have used a metal detector for well over 40 years and now note that to find a gold piece is like one in ten thousand (or more digs). I think you have to live where people are dropping gold pieces. I was wondering if any of you have any suggestions where to look (besides the beach)????

God Bless, Bryan

I found a field next to an old school. The field was used as a playground/ball field for the kids...and apparently ball field for the community I am thinking. There I have found a gold ring and a gold necklace with a locket that was 10K gold on sterling silver. I have been to a swimming hole next to a dam where I found a gold wedding band. These were on dry land. I have found a gold class ring in water up here at Houghton Lake. Found several other gold rings on land down in Lansing, MI at playgrounds and country/city parks.

I haven't found any gold coins....yet. One never knows for sure what will be found. Even though the price of gold is up I'd hang on to as much as you can...paper money is actually worth about 4 cents...when the dollar collapses the dollar will be worthless. Bartering services and items for things will become a reality. Gold will retain its value...until the Lord returns.

God bless you Bryan and your family.....Happy Thanksgiving

the important thing is to dig all signals from foil up!!!!!!!!!!!!

True, seeker 41, but oh my poor legs and aching back! My gold finds have been very scarce, but I used to find quite a bit of silver, until the parks and etc were so hunted by other detectorists! Steve in AZ has a large College near his town, so he finds American and foreign coins and jewelry the students lose! So, if you can find parks and etc near and in College towns....there may be more precious metals to find! :) God Bless! Betty

sledding hills are a good spot. Picnic areas, places where big concerts are held outside, or places where people gather to watch fireworks.
