Where to have a custom ring made?

Southwind

Well-known member
I've been saving my gold, platinum and diamonds hoping to some day have a custom ring made. Does anyone know anyplace that I can send in my old gold, platinum and diamonds to have a custom ring made?

Thanks

Yes...unfortunately I do...

My Wife has had Skip White Jewelry do exactly this with some of my stuff..the dang dude is good, custom one offs etc..trustworthy.... has a website you can look at just by googling his name, easy to talk to, travels around in the summer and does art shows....The Wifes brother also had him make a custom, and he was satisfied as well...seems reasonably priced, honest and capable artist...

The Wife sends him MY found gold/stones, even traded him a certain amount of MY scrap gold/stones for a custom ring to be made out of it, and he got to keep the rest!...:sadwalk:
I bet I lost money on that deal I could of pist away quite easily myself!... but it made her happy!

YTvermont had a huge belt buckle made out of his gold by a local artist up there...big as a garbage can lid it was!..weighed so much he couldnt keep his trousers up!.

Anyway, Southwind, Skip will take the time to work with you on exactly what you want...that would be pretty cool in fact....

You may also find somebody on ETSY in your area that is an up and coming artist with some lost wax skills...lots of great jewelry artists on ETSY...get them to sign it...just in case they get famous..

Opps..I meant to say "Ytcoinshooter" in fact he just put a post up on todays Finds showing that belt buckle he had made out of his finds...you may want to PM him and ask about his experience dealing with a local artist..

If there is a Jeweler in your area that you Trust you might ask them for recommendations.
