Any GOLD that is!! And I NEED to find some, I mean really NEEEEED to find some. My gold drought continues just the same as our rain drought here in Texas. But luckily, I'm still managing to scoop a little silver. I hit the lake early this morning with my ATPro/5 x 8 coil/Plugger straight shaft/Grey Ghost 'phones rig and walked and scooped till a little after noon.

Here's the spot that won't give me any GOLD!!

I did get a good many coins though and one nice little 925 ring and one junk ring made of aluminum...and a truck!!

And plenty of those wretched pulltabs. They can be really annoying to try and scoop in this lake cuz the bottom is pretty hard clay and when you dig in under them, and they are sitting on the surface, they float off the end of your scoop. Infuriating!!

Here's a closeup of the little heart ring. It just so happens that if fits the bride and is now on her finger and will then reside in her jewelry safe and not mine. Dangit!!

That will be like finding new lakes even though you are doing the same ones. It worked for me.:bouncy:

Good grab on the 925! :clapping: You are VERY close to gold my friend, that truck is the model Toby Keith drove in that music video a few years back "whos your Daddy" well, that's what you have to keep muttering under your breath as you hunt for gold,,, Big Cat Daddy is!...your need and focus on it will pull it right into your path! Great post!

BCD Hi, I think you do a good job, their results confirmed. But if there is no gold, you will not find even make smoke out your eyelashes .... Overexploitation??
I think we should look for new hunting while waiting for the old places recover its rich content ...
The ring and the truck are very cool, congrats!

Well, my old raggedy SeaHunter is no Infinium. I did put some batts in it and fire it up earlier in the week, and it does still work. My problem around here is the digging is TOUGH in the water, most all of the lakes having clay or rocky bottoms. And with all the bottlecaps that I KNOW are in them not to mention bobby pins and such, well it just makes my arms hurt thinking about it. Maybe I'll give it a try when my Amphibian 'phones come in.
