Where has the surfgod gone - 4 hours in the lane today

low tide tim and i rolled onto the lane about 10:45am and who do we see...............cmdr. jim "aka-sarge"

he has been away for sometime - long story

after seeing him i knew the surfgod was going to give up some gold loot today, however i was mistaken.

low tide did find what looked to be a big gold earring named "RONDA"

we had a great spin down the lane, but no nice loot for me.

here is the spin down the lane today

I'm curious as to how the boat ended up in the surf.

Why is Sage wearing a single boot?

Is that a Ganga coin? If so what is a peso doing at Virginia Beach? Estados Unidos Mexicanos is a 1/100 peso coin and could be worth $10 to $1,000 US depending on when and where it was minted. (Older coins were gold)

sarge started out the early spring with a foot disorder

then he had a accident on a bike and messed himself up - the good side is while he was layed up from the bike mishap, his foot has gotten better

the engine in the fishing boat quit and it drifted to the lane, they had two police men there watching it.................waiting for "Sea Tow" to come and pull it off

both tim and i walked behind it (between it and the water)..................police came over and got on us both for being near it..............he said to stay away from the boat...........................i do not know what tim said, but i told him i was staying away and i was moving as fast as i could.....................good thing i did not hit a target behind it i guess.

that mexican coin is kinda nice, but whatever metal the center piece is on the reverse side it is grossed out with sand and buildup attached like it does the pennies alot of times.

NOW

WHERE ARE WE GOING TO FINE THIS VIRGIN?????

Still getting settled in this Richmond Va. life style. I am enjoying your pics and wish I could be there with you guys. I plan to go back to the Outer Banks on Tuesday and I know some of the Pirates will put me on the bounty. One day I will get there to hunt with you all, I promise.

I try to interpret your findings on the basis of my little experience.

You found mostly light targets (caps). That suggests me you had a recent thunderstorm and parts of the swash area have been eroded by the sea bringing a lot of sand in to the sea from the swash line. You should then have a sandy sea bottom where the lightest targets tend to "float" above the sand. You should wait for low tide currents to move sand away from the bottom to be able to reach the haviest, deeper targets (gold rings). Do not giveup, take notes of sea bottom depths and wait for sand erosion. It will happen sooner or later...

Cheers

Luca

In this day and age it's nearly impossible to find a virgin unless you go to S.E. asia and rescue some 18 year old from poverty. You heard about the 12 year old Floridian girl who couldn't get an abortion because the courts deemed she was not old enough to make a resposible decision but yet she was old enough to parent her child. The stupidity astounds me.

I'm happy that sarge is better! I have had 8 accidents on my motorcycle. I've broken almost every bone on the left side of my body. I feel lucky regardless so I know how he feels.

I wanna go digg'n so bad I'm ready to quit my job and seek refuge in the tropics where we, Bia and I, can dig year round.

We have plenty of beach for you here Danny.
Quick question, in OBX, can you hunt as far south as the Outer Banks pier, the one right after Jennette's pier? On one of my winter trips, I thought maybe that would be an option if the other beaches are non-productive.

Thanks Danny
See you soon,
-Rich

You can go on a little further south than the Outer Banks Pier. You can go to the end of south Nags Head line. You will clearly see where the National Park Service begins. With all of the dirt trucked in from Currituck, the beach is not what it was 2 years ago. Last year, we did not get much hunting in at all. You guys in Va. Beach really showed your stuff this year. Every day is a new day as far as the beach goes. And I know you all know that. Max can continue to post the pics of the beach and I will be happy.

Eventually, the sand will get moved-away and there will be better finds. Until that happens, it's still fun to hunt, since you never know what the waves have tossed onto the beach.
Happy hunting!
