Where does your clad go?

I was wondering what all of you do with your new found clad?

I have several hobbies so I'm sure I'll invest any that I find back into one of them.

Most likely blank DVD's as I probably make 2-3 of those a week.

Probably use some of it as gas money for a few treasure hunting expeditions, a little farther from home. As gas prices are soring.

I bought a G-1 probe for my 1500 from Sun Ray with mine but haven't had the time to try it out. Its been too hot and dry here also. (Northeast Missouri)

I've saved all I found since I bought my 1500 to replace or repair it but since it's held in there really well I decided to spend it on the in-line probe. I only hunt mostly pre- 1900 sites so took me quite awhile to accumulate enough for the probe. I bought the 1500 4 or 5 years ago.

I've just begun detecting, and I'll bet there are some blindingly obvious answers to that question that I just haven't run into yet. Some gotta-have-it bit of equipment that I just don't realize yet how much I need. Maybe a rock tumbler, or a probe, or some such.

Since I've just begun I've got lots of time to ponder on what I'll do with the money once it gets to an interesting amount. Right now it's at about $30 and climbing slowly, but I'm in no hurry.

But you know what I've been thinking? I'm going to go talk to some people in the jewellery business, and I'm going to find out just how much it would cost to get a custom gold earring made. Not just any design, though; a 14-karat miniature gold pulltab. It'd be quite the change from the usual gold stud, and I guarantee I'd be wearing the only one around. Be kinda fun explaining it to people and watching their reaction, too.

This is the good kind of crazy, right?

clad and anything found with the 250 will go toward a new water machine to be ordered as soon as I "cash out." <><

I still have every coin, ring, token, basically everything I have ever found over the past 4 1/2 yrs. The coins, I tumble, sort and place in Crown Royal bags(I got a buddy at work that drinks and gives me the bags). All together, the clad weighs so much, I can't pick it up, I just drag it around when I need to move it. I threaten to roll it up and take it to the bank, but I enjoy running my hands thru it now and again. Old King Midas ain't got nothing on me!!
