I have some I want to sale and was wondering who is the best to sale it too. How much they pay and any other information you would like to share. Thanks .

Try these folks. They have been featured on national TV. Good customer feedback. Really high payout rate.

Just for the heck of it, I called local gold buyers. They were offering 50% (lmfao) to 80%. Thats a rip-off.
I used to be in the precious metals business. All they do is buy cheap...and then mail it to a refiner like Empire
and make huge profits off folks like YOU.

YOU will NOT be dissapointed. They will also give you 90% of silver melt. I have researched most all the top ones and you can't beat them

I have started hearing some negative things about ara and was wondering who else to send it to.

online gold bullion dealers deal by post ,but weigh it first as some may cheat you on the weight .
gold price is expected to keep on going up so when is the good time to sell ,thats the question !
India is expected to mop up ever increasing amounts of gold as they cant get enough of the stuff

I have heard good things from other detector drivers about Midwest Refineries. Sent them a package this week. Will let you know the results.

when they decide to lock in the price. I still would love to know what ARA has done wrong

I am not selling to midwest just thanking him for letting us know how it goes. I am still looking at ara gold 1st and midwest is my second choice . Just seeing if any of you have sent any gold to other places and your experiences on thes two also.

While midwest may or maynot be the best they are far better than most local jewelers and pawn shps...

I just received 2 checks from ARA yesterday. One for my gold and another for my silver. Took about 10 days for them to process and get my checks to me. I think I got a good price and their weight was actually a little more than mine. They just started a diamond buying deal where they will make you an offer for them or you can just have them returned to you. I didn't know about it when I sent mine in so they put the diamonds in a plastic bag and returned them to me. Also had a bag with a CZ in it, one with 2 blue stones and a bag marked junk. Looked like the slag they skimmed off the top. I'm very happy with the service I got from ARA.

I've dealt with both Midwest and ARA, and will be dealing with Midwest in the future. I have sent about 6 or 8 shipments to Midwest and have never run into any surprises. Two of my shipments to Midwest had questionable items that I knew ahead of time may be gold filled, but were labeled 10k. One of the two pieces ended up having several gold filled links and Midwest sent me back a photo showing the piece and explaining why I did not receive credit for all of it.
Of my two dealings with ARA one left a bad taste in my mouth as my settlement check was far less than I had expected. They did not include any explanation with the check as to why there may be a discrepancy, and after talking to them on the phone they said that some of the items must not have been gold ( I did acid test all the pieces), but did not have any notes or detailed breakdown of my items. I AM NOT SAYING THAT THEY WERE LESS THAN HONEST. Some of the items very well may have been gold filled and my testing may have been less than reliable, but at least Midwest included an explanation as to what was not included in my settlement amount.

Update on my package to Midwest Refineries: Package was mailed 10 days ago and the check arrived today. The price paid was figured on the London Afternoon Fix on the day my gold was processed. They paid 95% of the Fix price. No other charges whatever. No hassle, accurate weight, just good service.

This was my first time using Midwest and I chose them based on recommendations from others and their website answered my questions better than the ARA site. Midwest does ask you to remove any stones you want to keep. It appears that they reclaim gold by melting, which would ruin any stones, while ARA uses acid to dissolve the gold and leave the stones, although it may frost some stones.

All in all, I'm very happy with what they paid and I'll be using them again. Soon, I hope :)
