Where do YOU buy coins...

some of you must surely be collectors as well as detecors and purchase the occasional coin, round, etc. Where do those of you who do so buy such things. I have of course seen Littleton Coin Co in conn, but wondered if there were others.

Lots of places and EBay, depends upon what you are interested in. US, World, Ancient- Try the Vcoins mall, lots of reliable dealers, frequently good prices; I've found Littletons a little high, but good reputation. Make sure you get return privilages when you buy, any reliable dealer will do that.

Im mostly interested in silver coins like Eagles, Maple Leafs and Kukaburra's and so on and foreign coins.
Thanks

Menu at the bottom of this page links to distributors of Australian bullion coins: http://perthmint.com.au/gc/depository/depository_layout3.asp?file=bullion

Really like the look of the Australian lunar series with the diamond eyes. Beautiful.
I didn't like the Japan pricing on those though, so ordered a silver bar yesterday via a different Japanese company, it should arrive this afternoon. Will probably buy silver granules next time from the same place though because the commission is much lower that way. Have been studying the international silver markets over the past few months and decided to actively buy silver and to a lesser extent gold too. Physical bullion rather than paper. Not very exciting and historical as say an old gold coin, but a nice way to change dirty money from the beach into 'real' money. ;)

Many newspapers here recently have a lot more front page advertising either to buy or sell gold/platinum and that will no doubt increase. Silver bullion is a bit harder to source though - at least if I want close to the spot price - which I do.

We have the same tastes Ian, it seems. I am not as keen on the gold market as I was, since the price has risen so drastically in the last few and the activity must surely dwindle in the face of that. I wish I knew enough to have seen it coming...

But silver, for all it's recent escalation, is still the perrenial it always is. Not as glamorous as Au, but always in demand. Plus I can still afford it! Besides, truth be known, the silver bullion coins are always so beautiful, IMHO.

Thanks for the link, Ian-san.
