Where can I purchase one of those nice diggers w/ the jagged edge??

Are you talking about a Lesche , gator digger type?

I prefer my old solid steel, intentionally dull buck knife most of the time. But my ground is really easy to work in.

i broke the tip off of my garden shovel so i dont use it anymore. the metal plating over it comes off onto rocks in the hole and it messes with my signals. makes everything come up silver. thats what i get for going cheap.

I bought a hand trowel at Lowe's made by True Value. It has a shape edge and a serrated edge, an inch scale, a string cutting notch and a good sized handle to grip. Works well for me.

Rivermarine, I use the same digger, it's the best I've used so far...and it is sharp...found out it cuts fingers real good. I think it sells for about $13. If it ever breaks I'll get another one just like it for sure.
