I do wish the members would list what State they are from. its nice reading about finds from the members, but I would also hope you would share where you live. Not asking to reveal your hunting spot. Just where do you live. My rant for today I live in North East Pa. Foothills of the Pocono's...Pete

Originally from Detroit...so don't mess with me.
Then moved to Fla for 12 years...I was mellow and tanned.
Relocated to Alabama for 17 years looking to find a southern girl with an accent to marry and finally found one, but she can have quite an attitude if you get her mad so I think she has some Detroit in her, too.
Now I have been in Kansas for 3 years where there is much history buried in this fantastic low mineralized dirt...I am supremely happy and sometimes a little overstuffed with Bar-B-Que, but dealing with winter again after 30 years in the south is a drag.

There is a chance we might move again soon.
If we do one possibility is a move to the southwest.
I am all for that if it happens.
Back to warm winters with no snow or ice and I own an F70 and a sniper coil so I will be all set because there is gold in them there hills.

Very similar background as REVIER....originally from Detroit, lived in 7 different States...From upper MN, to Alabama, moved back to MI where we reside now...we also have at least one more move left..I loved Alabama...wife is feeling a pull to the SW or perhaps the NW states...Tennessee is not bad, or Kentucky perhaps, sort of central, easy to get either north or south in a hurry...I have an AtPro and again, like REVIER, an F70..we feel ourselves scaling down on all the trappings of Life, and perhaps will become gypsies selling tie dyed shirts and living in a motorhome, not really tied to one location and just moving with the seasons or jobs..
I'd be good with that, this is a big Planet, and these coils are so small, I've got to get cracking! .
Mud..

The lowcountry of South Carolina.

Lived in West Virginia until I graduated from High School. Joined the Navy and 18 years 9 months and 27 days later i retired from the Navy. (Counted as 20 years for retirement purposes.) Rode Submarines for most of my Navy time so I thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. Punched a lot of holes in the Ocean trying to keep a potential enemy on their toes.

While in the Navy I covered a lot of territory from Hong Kong China to the eastern Mediterranean. Visited (Briefly) a lot of the states and only found two places that I hope to never visit again. Norfolk Va and Biloxi Ms. Norfolk and Biloxi both had an attitude towards military personnel. . Norfolk wanted the Navy personnel's money but did not want us to be there and Biloxi Ms was as bad or worse. After living for some time in Norfolk i was in culture shock when I arrived in Charleston Sc. The folks here treated me like I was somebody and endeavored to make me and my wife feel welcome . There is an old saying the the Navy that during WW-II there were signs in Norfolk that said "Sailors and Dogs Keep off The Grass". While I never saw the signs and can not comment to the truthfulness of that saying I can honestly say that was the Attitude of many folks in the Norfolk area.

Was living in South Carolina when i retired from the Navy in 1978 and could not find a good reason to leave. Plus my wife said "If you move back to West Virginia you will move without me!" I held a number of Jobs after retiring from the Navy. Worked in the home building industry from nail driver to Construction Supervisor, Worked about 6 and a half years in the trucking industry from driver to Regional manager. And the last 13 years until I Retired were spent in Retail Sales in a Big Box Sporting Goods store.

Bought my first metal detector in July 2012 and have been having a blast dirt fishing and searching the sand and water for treasures. On occasion I do find something nice and that keeps me out there looking.

I think this is a great idea, telling where everyone is located. But I had mentioned earlier, that I think taking it a little farther.....giving our first Names stead of refering to people as their screen names, Badboy...lol. It just seems more personal....lol. John is the name here, and I'm in Michigan about 35 miles northeast of the "D"...
