Where are the serial numbers on a mxt?..thought might be in battery compartment...not mine..THANKS!!!!

Mines on the inside of the lid on the battery box.

Maybe it's a 'CHINESE KNOCK OFF".------Oh man Michael, I can't believe I said that--that was a "dirty one"!----Call up Whites & ask them about it----You're ok & you've got a very good detector.---I can certainly understand your concern about it, everybody wants a S/N (especially if the detector is under warranty).---The S/N's on the Whites I have had have always been in the battery compartment.-------Del

MAYBE THAT"S WHY THE SCREEN SHOWS ^ <~

The screen thing might be just a loose cable. it's pretty common and easy to fix. the screen thing makes me believe it's a real White's.

:lmfao: Man this is gettin deep (the case of the missing S/N).-----Seriously, let me (us) know what you find out after you call Whites, Michael.----They have surely GOT to have a way of traceing/verifying their machines other than that "stick on" label in the battery compartment.----Be interesting to hear what you find out. ----------Del

it is maybe a chinese one or a stolen machine :ninja:

I would like to know where is the serial too, beside that sticker that can easily come off

I agree if the sticker is all they put on it makes it mighty easy on the thief huh just pull the sticker off and they're home free.
Guess it's up to us to buy an engraving tool and engrave it in the box some where before the sticker fades or peels off then again that might void the warranty I don't know.
