where are all the G-2 and GB hunters out here?

Been hunting on a regular basis.
Just routine finds mostly.
Nothing to get excited about.

Hey thats a great thing smudge, oh i figuired probably someone would've chimed in with more tech info on these machines from what i've learned from the G-2 so far i'm pretty happy with it, going to have to try my elipitical i got for it se how we do in iron with that?

I have a 10" elliptical on my GB Pro. Works great, but very hard to get near playground equipment with it.

I never used the 11" coil simply because for jewelry hunting, every test I ever found said that the 10" elliptical offered a superior performance.

I sure someone out there can tell you about it though. The 11" comes standard on the G2.

Hopefully I will be posting some finds in the near future. Got a Gold Bug Pro with 2 coils on the way from Bart. Suppose to be here on Tuesday. I'm going to try to get some hunting in before the ground freezes. Does anyone know if the Gold Bug coils come with covers?

I don't think they come with covers from Fisher but some dealers throw them in as a perk for ordering from them.

Hey there Dougj7 yes the ground is freezing fast up here in maine too yesterdays hunt on the road was solid in the woods still pretty good

interesting, is it alot lighter to swing than the 11" coil?

This may help:

All Below weighed with lower rods.

Teknetics 11 inch DD coil with cover 19.2 oz.

Teknetics 10 elliptical concentric coil 16.2 oz.

Gold Bug 5 inch DD coil with cover 15.9 oz.

Teknetics 5 inch DD coil 14.3

Teknetics 5 x 10 DD coil with cover 18.9 oz.

Teknetics 8 inch Concentric coil 13.4 oz.

The 5 x 10 DD coil is more sensitive to small gold chains than the 11 inch DD coil and it slides across the grass easier.

Tabman i get kick out of you now did you weigh each one or was this some part of the coil info somewhere?

I weighed them on my own digital postal scales. I don't like heavy detectors and coils. :)
