When you think it's going to be a bad day...

Today i was aiming for a small drained lake i hit last fall when the water was up. A friend told me the lake was empty and altough it's a small beach, i taught i might take a second look. Once i got there, signals were pretty scarces. I taught i had done a good job last fall. But since i was dry hunting, i took the time to grid the place completely. After an hour and a half, i only had a few bucks in clad, nothing else.
I was facing the possibility of coming home without a gold item and as i was turning around, i walked into a spot with weeds, thinking nobody would swim there. On the same coil sweep, i got two different signals one feet apart. The first was the silver band, and the second was the very nice 18.1gr 10K gold chain ! Weeee heee !
I was able to leave...soaking wet because of the constant rain, but happy as a child.[attachment 26825 2006-05-12.jpg]
