thear are more WTB adds on the classifieds for the GT and almost none for sale what that tels me and many would do well to learn from it as they would any lesson in life ment to make one wiser , THATS WHEN YOU HAVE A GOOD DETECTOR

Those who have them know what they have, and those who want them don't want to pay the new price .......Once this new price becomes the norm and all the dealers start charging as such , guys will start selling their Sovereigns ......I mentioned in a post about my considering selling my Excal 1000 ( not the II ) and I was bombarded with PM's and emails from people wanting to buy it ......The price is going up on the Excals also ..... There needs to be more competition ....Jim

I agree Synthnut. I will be selling my Sovereign GT soon. I have to pay bills and can't afford to keep it.

i got word Fisher is testing a new BBS detector!

WHAT? Did minelab sell off the rights to BBS? If so, things might make sense about the price change as minelab might have to discontinue the sovereign as part of the agreement, or has to raise the price to what's in the contract so as not to compete in BBS at certain price points. Just speculating....where did you see this?

what iv been told Minelabs Paten ran out on the BBS and First Texas is in the final Beta testing of a new BBS detector.i better not say how i found out as i dont want to get anyone in trouble.we will see.

VERY interesting! Fisher is owned by Technetics now and that guy knows his stuff, so let's hope he listens to some of our suggestions on things we'd like to see on the Sovereign.

In answer to the question..........I know the GT is a good detector because today I went on a club site with 20 other members and was the only one to have found a Silver Denarius C170AD, musket ball, roman broach, pocket watch key, 17th century trading token and numerous other bits of junk. All of it was found going behind other members and was at 6 inches plus. I've been detecting 20 years and have waited all that time to find a solid silver denarius, and this one was in absolute mint condition!! If anyone is interested in what it looks like heres a link to an identical one - http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/sear5/s4700.html#RIC_0495a

I jumped two feet in the air today when it came up! It was like no-one else found much of anything today, it's not luck, it's not skill, it's just the GT!!!
