My wife went to Hawaii for several days for some courses, so, being off today, I worked hard, looking for oldies. It payed off too.

A couple of large cents, a couple of silvers and some other old pennies made for a nice coin catch.

And, some other odds and ends, 2 rings and some common items from the turn of the century. I got my first arrow head, but it was carved out of lead...What's with that?

Lots of oldie coins in that outing John.

A great day!! congrats !!
strange arrowhead lead ... will it be a salute arrow?
you had to have warned a few days before, we would have all gone home to have a big party :buds: and not disturb your wife ... until she returned :yikes: ...
Thanks for sharing

That's a lot of cool, old stuff! Congrats to ya!
And that arrowhead is weird. I mean, it "looks" like an arrowhead. I dunno...but I'd like to! If you figure it out, let us know!

Congratulations John. Those are some finds the rest of us just dream about. Love the thimble. Hope the wife has a great class in the islands.

Someone suggested the North America Natives often arrow heads out of metal from traded items. I have already found 2 arrow heads made out of steel from an old indian encampment.

No-guilt detecting while she is in Hawaii. I just have to ask her how hard here courses are, then she remains quiet.:inlove: There are lots of sites to hunt here....I just need the time. :)
