When mding, how can you tell when a coin is on it edge?

It is really hard to tell because most of the time a detector will only see one side out of 4 different approaches... That is why, if a site is productive, to grid it off, and work it top to bottom, and left to right with half-coil overlap(concentric coil)and dig all targets that sound good in one direction..not always does it works but many good "standing" targets have been missed...HH RIchardnTn
