My buddy Scott moved to Costa Rica last year and came back for a visit this weekend. What a change of weather for him. :rofl:I lent him my AT Pro and I used mt AT Gold. It's always nice to have a back-up detector for times like this.

Here's the goods from today's hunt. My bag was also full of junk. To hunt this site, we had to program both the AT Gold and AT Pro in coins mode, and still notch out some more items. Otherwise, our machines sounded like machine guns due to all the targets.

I found a belt buckle missing the center piece, only to find a center piece from a different buckle. Go figure eh!

Got a 1916 large cent, a 1951 silver dime and a coin from India???

The ring I found polished up nicely with my rotary tool and some silver polish. I believe it's bronze, as if it were copper, it would have had a lot more oxidation on it.

Got another one of these aluminum containers. They are quite collectible, and can fetch a good dollar on E bay. This is a rare one. Not too many have been found.

Nice finds John !

As for the snow, you can keep that, I'm not ready for the stuff here in Maine !

Good hunting with some older coins and varieties of other goodies. Yeah, you can keep your snow! HH jim tn

I like how that key cleaned up! Great hunt! Maybe your buddy Scott has a place for you in Costa Rica?

Nice finds and sharing the hunt with a friend is the best part. I'd like to know more about how you set up to just coins and notch out some items when you are in real trashy areas. A few months ago I was at the river and tried everything I could think of including lowering the sensitivity, changing the frequency, using the 5 X 8 instead of the stock coil and it just drove me crazy in pro mode. There were over head power lines, but I had hit this area before and it didn't do this. I thought it had something to do with my sending it in for repair, but it performs great everywhere else. Load of trash at this site, but usually the At/Pro can sort out the good targets out of the trash. It usually ground balances to 88 to 92 in the water and about 88 on land.

Switch over to coins mode and notch out everything from 65 down. That will let you concentrate on the iffy and or good signals in the 80's.

Very cool finds. I have not posted my colander o, crapulence in a while, but I have been getting out. Working and starting some additional post secondary classes which limits my play time. But I know that there's a few goodies in the colander. It is calling for snow here today also but I hope to get out tomorrow if the stars align for me. Great digs John. I like milk glass, marbles, old bottles, old shell buttons, hell, just about everything that I find, lol. I didn't even know that this brand of condoms existed let alone ever see one before. Pretty cool that it is in one piece.

I was after silver or older copper coins. Deeper copper coins give a nice soft sweet high sound. Our nickels in Canada read around 51.

Looks like you are getting our snow which is heading your way. We had huge 1" flakes, but it is all but gone now. It's supposed to get up to 10 degrees on Friday.

Dang good hunt, John...congrats! I really like that container, the aluminum one. Was this an old home site, or dump site?

Hey John! Great finds. You have a lot of nice stuff there. Your one coin you found is from Thailand not India.

Cheers!
