When is a penny better looking than a Merc

I went to a lot yesterday & hunted for about two hours, the house was built in the 40's so I had hope of finding some nice silver. I found some clad & a few wheat's then just about ready to give up & I hit a solid dime signal. Out of the plug came the best looking coin I have found so far, it looked almost un-circulated. I put it I'm my Pocket & went home to clean it up. I washed off the pennies then moved to the dime, it has the best luster and I could only find one ware spot on the thing. Turned out to be a 1943 s, I then took a look at the pennies and the first one that I picked up was the best of the bunch, It got even better when I saw the date 1931s. Yep that's when a Pennie looks better than a dime. Sorry for the blurry pics but both coins look better than the pics. Any guess as to what they might grade. I guess fine to x- fine

Thanks Hillbilly Bob, by the way have you ever used a 8" dd coil? been thinking of getting one.

It's right at a VF30 to 35. (Can't believe how that coin has gone up in the past few years.) Nice coin for a ground recovery set.
