When hunting gold I go to my MXT.

Have not posted on the mxt forum for a long while, in april of 2011 I bought a etrac and use it for my main machine for hunting for old silver coins and my old trusty mxt stays home unless I take someone with me. I live in southern Wisconsin and we are in a dry spell now so there is no digging in grass for me until we get some rain. So sunday I decided to take the mxt for a hunt to some volleyball courts that ive tried before in past years but never found much but some clad and lots off misc. metal items including razor blades in the sand( thats scary). Well this hunt was not looking to good as I only picked up 7 cents a bunch of bobby pins a large safety pin and some other trash in an hour and a half ( thinking someone must of beat me here). On the way back to the car I was swinging along the sand/ grass line and got a 16 solid both directions at 3" and dug down to find a nice 10k emerald/ diamond ring peeking up at me (sweet). That was the 1st piece of gold ive found since I put the mxt in storage, would the etrac of found it? maybe ( have not found any gold with the etrac as of yet), It was fun taking the old mxt out for a hunt and I no when I want to find the gold I will grab for the MXT everytime. Congratulations, that looks like the MXT is telling you to leave the etrac at home every now and then and pick him up instead.

[size=large]to be fair to the e-trac, i'm sure it would have found it. with-in weeks of getting my ml explorer i found my second gold ring. it was white gold 10k. if you know the machine's speach then it will find the gold. the mxt is better at it but you have two very fine machines. both better than the other in differant hunts. my first gold ring, 14k white gold was found a week earlier with my whites xlt. congrats on the find also.
