When did White's start selling the DFX 300??

Anyone know when White's starting selling the DFX 300? I'm looking at buying a used DFX300 but they have know idea its age. Thanks!

Just a guess, but I think it was about two years ago White's came out with the 12" coil and the MXT and DFX with it on was introduced a little latter. Do you have a special need for the 12" loop? If not, the 950 loop might be a better buy and prove to be a more useful detector as well. With the $$ you save by buying a used 950 DFX, you can buy a 5.3 loop as well and still have $$ left over. IMHO

Well, there is somebody in my area selling their DFX 300 (its in great shape) for an asking price of $650.00. I think its a decent price. Thanks!

I've had mine for 14 months, so they have been out longer than that. I want more than 650.00 for mine, so that does sound like a good deal.

Get the serial number and call White's. They'll tell you the manufacture date of the unit over the phone.
