Im wondering if these local MD shops will give deals on their stuff or is the price the price? Looking to get a sand shark, water scoop, & maybe even new coil for tejon. CanI get a bundle deal.

Some do and some don't. You will have to call them and see what they will do. Some of our sponsors are Tesoro dealers and I think they are always up to make a good deal for you.

I doubt if there is enough profit margin in it for a small dealer to wheel and deal a whole lot if he wants to actually make a profit. Large retail stores buy in huge amounts to create their own price breaks. The little guy cant. Having said that, I much prefer to buy from the little guy and help keep him in business. Just my opinion.

I get that & im always in favor of the little guy. (im a lil guy myself) Only thing is that im, by no means, am I a wealthy man so I have to go for the deal. If its a matter of a few bucks ill always choose the indy guy. We'll see what happens.

I'd just add---there is a "sticky" at the top of the Feedback forum of the current Findmall sponsors/advertisers (including Detector Depot).------Give a few of them a call when you are considering a purchase, they deserve our business!------------Del

I was a lurker on the boards for a long time before i took the plunge and picked up a new Whites TDI PRO.
Went to my local dealer to cement the choice of the TDI and when it came down to sealing the deal i asked him if he was interested in any trades????
I then pulled out 40 2007 Silver Eagles of the BU variety.
Well 1 TDI Pro
! razorback 5x10 folded 8 coil
1 set of nice headphones
1 carrying bag and half a dozen other various and sundry items later WE HAD A DEAL.
He stated he didn't do any trading.
Seems that owners of metal Detector shops have a soft place in there hearts for shiny things.
Who would have thunk....
