Wheats, Buckle, and a Live .22

Hi everyone.

On February 18, 2012 I went metal detecting at a house built in the early 1940's. That house actually is my grandmother's house. Next to my grandmother's house is an abandoned house also built in the early 1940's. This was the first time I detected at my grandmother's house with my Whites MXT. The first signal of the day turned out to be my second Wheat Cent of 2012. Some other finds on the day included a 1955 Rabies Vaccination tag, a live .22 bullet, 2 Wheat Pennies, and a suspender buckle. It was another nice hunt with the MXT!

Congrats on your second wheat cent for the year. Be careful with the live round. Even if they are old, they can be very unstable. I've found a few old live bullets before and I will give them to the local authorities. They are happy to take them. They know what to do with them and then I don't have to worry about them miss firing. Thanks for the video and the pictures. HH, Nancy

[size=large]been viewing your vids and really enjoy them so far. at least you haven't had the wind problems others have had. nancy is very correct as regards that 22 round. it can at the most kill. i too have found live ammo but in parks of all places. i really count my blessing it didn't go off while i was digging around for them. and i'm talking 30.06 and 308 rounds. i feel sorry for those folks in europe still finding ww2 land mines and 1000lb. bombs. thanks for posting the video.
