Wheats and silver

A detecting buddy and I hunt house demos in and around Houston. We pick the oldest ones we can find then use Google earth to get the layouts, then hit them early in the AM. We have been digging in one area of Houston now for 2 months and have done really well on coins. Wednesday and Thursday we were on one large lot, the demo guys were there and gave the OK. We hunted for 5 hours Wednesday and 5 hours Thursday, same lot. On Wednesday I got 5 silvers and 27 wheats along with a lot of clad. Mark got 6 silvers and 17 wheats. We both use the CTX with 6" coils. I run the combined, Gone Hunting program and back it up with the stock 'coin' program, manual sensitivity to about 22-24. Mark uses the stock 'coin' program in Auto+3.

On Thursday I again had 5 silvers and 28 wheats. Mark got 9 silvers and 13 wheats.

The CTX is made for demo sites and the 6" coil is paying off BIG. Here are my best finds as reported by jas415 from our last two hunts together. 6 Merc's, 2 Rosie's, 3 silver Washington's and 4 War nickels. 40 Wheat pennies not photographed.

WE went back to the same lot again today just to check it and see if we missed anything. I got a '54 Rosie, 8 wheats, clad, another old Tootsie Toy car from the 50's, a couple peices of jewelry, and an old lead soldier. Mark got another war nickle and a bit of clad.
