Finally got to leave the neighborhood to try the Etrac in an older site. I went to an old school the has long since been abandoned. It had old houses behind and to the side of it. I ran in 2tone ferous with auto sensitivity +3, deep off, recovery fast on, ground difficult, trash density high, and volume gain at 20 to identify deeper targets. This site has been pounded by me and evidently others by the tell tale signs of small uncovered holes left behind.
I headed south from the school towards one of the foundations. First faint signal was a 12-38. It was past the 8in mark, out pops a 1920d wheatie.
After filling the hole and making one scan further I had another good signal at 4 in. 10-40. It had a piece of foil in it and I thought dang. But rescanned the hole and still had a 10-40. A 1926 wheatie. Came out
Signals were slow coming and a lot of trash, finally got a 12-45 and I'm thinking first silver, to my surprise my first Boyscout memorabilia.
a boyscout belt buckle.
The last signal of the the day was a "Reese" brand bicycle lock.
Now these aren't the best but this is a hard site to find any coin and I am impressed at the separation of signals on this machine... Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting Evan
