The front letters look like: NLA SF 1911
I can only make out Whitehead and Newark, NJ on the back.
Any ideas what this is refering to? Maybe something about San Francisco in 1911!!
I found this in Victoria, B.C last month.
Thanks for looking..RonL

Idon't know what it is,but the bird is a mythical phoenix bird i think.

Thats what someone else was also saying. I now know that it was made by Whithead & Hoag from New Jersey. Just cant seem to pin this one down.

Found this one yesterday. It was put out by the United Mine Workers
commerating the 8 hour work day established by them in 1898. It is
inscribed "contentment is the result of 8 hours", and stamped
"Dist. 22" which is headquartered in Price, Utah. Can't date when
it was made tho.
