What's Your Favorite E-Trac Headphones ?

E-Trac-Ohio

Well-known member
It's time once again for me to go headphone shopping.

I've had my Gray Ghost Ultimates for four years now and I really like them - but they have fought the war in all types of weather and it's time to look for a new set.
The only thing I don't like about the GGU's ( as others have posted ) is that the volume is a little to low on one setting and a little to high on the next setting up.

I've been reading posts on the "Killer B's - it seems like everyone that has them thinks their fantastic - myself, I like the idea of the leather ear muffs.

So ... what headphones do you like the best on your E-Trac ?

Thanks for your replies and good hunting !

I use killer b's and love them. Lighter than the grey ghosts i had and more comfy. To me they are better than GG.

Sunray Pro Golds sound great with the E-trac. :super:

Believe it or not, I have a set of Killer B's, DerectorPro Rattlers and Audio-Technica ATH-M50's and my favorite are the stock Koss UR-30's

Well if you want to go wireless - the Rapoo H3070 set works perfectly with the etrac...reasonably priced at $42 if you search around the internet.

Need to rebuild your G.G.'s check it out Repair parts including synthetic leather ear pads

I use TDK WR700 Wireless..There adjustable and very comfortable! Never going back to wired and you can change the four AAA"s
in the transmitter and receiver headphones when your batteries run out before your detecting time does..Something your unable
to do with the Rapoo

Have a set of Seinhauser noise canceling with 8' cord.....Luv em (especially the long cord). Had to use the stock Koss the other day for the first time and hated em..........(especially the short cord part). The stock Koss sounds also didn't even compare with the Seins'..........jmo

Once you go wireless, you won't go back to walking your detector with a leash.
I've got the Rapoos and never looked back.

Forgot my Rapoos one day and was forced to use my stock wire'd headphones once again.
Got reminded of what an incredible PITA those hot-sweaty-coil constricting wire'd headphones are.

You know duggr, i looked at those TDKs and came close to picking them up but on that big Brazilian River website, it said they were discontinued by TDK, the reason i ended up with the Rapoos. Don't know if thats true or not.

In hot weather, one advantage of the Rapoos's semi-full earcups is they just about eliminate hot sweaty ears. There are conditions and noisy sites where i'd like full earcups though. Maybe i'll try those TDKs discontinued or not. I like the idea of off the shelf batteries too.

The TDK WR 700's I'm still using were discontinued and were on the ear headphones.
The ones in the Photo are the Newest WR 800 that just came out last month and are
over the ear for better confort..Having battery's that you can change is a big plus for me...
