General Rules

The Finds Treasure Forum Classifieds is for individual use only with the exception of banner advertising buyers. Those buyers may advertise their traded in, discontinued models, etc.

Individual sellers may post their normal unwanted detectors, or accessories in assigned classified forums, but they  cannot exceed (1) one item in a (3) three month period for each classified forum.

Only For Sale, For Trade, or Wanted to Buy ads are allowed.

Only Forum Members Registered for  90 days or longer that have more than 24 significant posts in our other forums, may post For Sale or Trade ads.

Rules for Non Sponsoring Sellers:

  • Items for sale, or for trade, should be your own personal property and be accurately described.
  • Your for sale or trade post should be self contained, without references to another site where you may also have it for sale.
  • Do not put links to eBay.
  • Do not put links to other forums where you may also have the same item for sale or trade.
  • Dealers are not allowed to post in Classifieds unless they are a sponsor.

Advertisements not adhering to the above rules will be deleted without warning or notification.

Anybodn know what's with the blue text links to whatever showing up throughout the threads?

Just another way of adding links that might of interest in a posting. Without actually listing the full URL address, just another way of being less intrusive distraction on the reader and suggests a link to go to.....

Follow the steps in the pictures, type your post add the link where you want it to go.
When you hit preview, you can see what it will look like before you submit your post.

The ones I'm wondering about seem to be outside commercial sites. I thought that was a no no on the forum.

Believe there's a fine line in that regard.
No links allowed to sites that sell items that Findmall's sponsors sell or to competing forums.
Sometimes new members are actually spammers may their way onto Findmall.
They usually have 1-4 posts or so, same posting with a link to some product, store, or virus encoded website.
Moderators on Findmall are pretty good and catch most of them shortly after they post, other time other forum members will alert the mods and everyone about the spam post.

The spammers are infiltrating many forums with fake memberships.
 
I see two have latched themselves into my response to Dirtdigger33. Definitely not of my doing.

It is on your computer. I had it happen to mine a few weeks ago. Certain words were in the blue link form. It is some program that was installed along side another program. You need to go into add/delete programs and look to see what was installed recently. You will find the culprit there.
 
The problem is not on Finds Forums. Sounds like you have been spammed.

Apparantly was at my end. After installing and running a malware program, the problem has disappeared.
