What's this I hear about the 9.5 inch coil on the BHID being a floater???

Does that include the newer black crosshair coil and the BHID 300 coil too??? Of yeah, also I'm getting one soon(9.5 coil) so stand by for 101 questions.. TKX

Is this machine new ? Whites has stopped making the new bhid with the 9.5 it comes with the large coil 12 inch, You will not have a problem with the 300 floating I have one and its great in the water

On the 9.5 coil if you change your shaft from the S shaft to a straight shaft you will have no problems keeping the coil down, with the Tee handle your wrist is not bent keeping the preasure on the shaft keeping the coil down where it belongs. I have 2 BHIDS , & other name brand water detectors & I have installed straight shafts on all of them. Makes it much more comfortable & you can swing a heck of alot longer.

If the gasket is black they were known to leak. They changed to orange (red ) on the later models. Rob

Well if the BHID works as good as everyone says it should not be long before It will pay for the upgrade. Just never been a big fan of the "garbage can lid on a stick" hunting. I don't chest mount and typicly hunt for +6 hours.(only have one day to go play) Now in the water it makes no diff but on wetsand I'm sure I'd be wore out quick. If the machine hit's well, I'll get the upgrade!!

heres what the 9.5 left behind!! [attachment 99198 HPIM0267Medium.JPG] [attachment 99200 HPIM0270Medium.JPG] [attachment 99201 HPIM0273Medium.JPG]
