WHATS THE STORY ON RUTUS JUPITER Now....

Woodchuck

New member
Now that its been out awhile and that they now have a newer model or version or two out now? I'm not seeing or hearing anything about them now.Would like to hear from some actual users or owners thanks.

Woodchuck,i live in England where they had an initial following due to the fact that they were supppsed to be excellent on roman and hammered coins in trashy areas.I looked into getting one myself but the initial excitement seems to have died off and a few are now coming up for sale.To me this just gives the impression that they maybe good machines but no better than anything else out there.I would suggest this is true of all new detectors that come on the market today....first there is initial excitement about a new model.....than after people use them for a while they discover that they do not really offer any major advantages over anything else they have used. Most of todays new models offer very comparable performance....there is not a single detector on the market that stands above the rest. The best detector will be the new model that comes out.....it is out for a while....and non come up for sale second hand......this will be the detector that is worth trying.

They are very good in very trashy sites. I hunt colonial cellar holes and it was the best I have used for this at the time ( 2 years ago).

Now it is not very deep....more like a standard Tesoro Umax would be for depth...but it's target separation and it's useful menu functions made it a great little machine.

One of this machines that if you have a trashy site or places like that it is awesome. For a $500.00 machine it was a good buy....nice as special use machine. So it is one of those machines that you keep for special places but not a day to day machine unless you detect solely in places like say...trashy ghost towns, cellar holes etc etc.

Since it is made in Poland it has to go back to them for repairs and this will always keep sales down......along with the specialty application of being a trash machine.

Now I sold mine to try something else and wish I kept it.....
