whats the smallest coil the make for the elite???

The smallest normal is the 5 inch coil, but if you really want a small coil the S1 probe would be the smallest. It has been done by a few that have used the S1 probe for a coil.

And no I aint gonna go with the probe ....I was hoping something small with a little depth to it ........the s1 would not be deep enough for theses needs ...... is it a sunray coil ???

You can consider the S1 as a coil, that is a 1 inch coil that is made by Sun Ray. The 5 inch coil made by SunRay will get into some good trash and still separate well with some decent depth too, but not as much as the 8 inch coils, but respectable depth.
If you want to try a 5 inch Sun Ray coil I have a extra white one that is not waterproof just sitting here and you are welcome to try without buying it if you want to see if a 5 inch would work for you.

i have a 5 inch sunray coil for my explorer. in fact it was the first aftermarket coil i brought. i learned so much with that coil also. it really taught me how to pinpoint with a DD coil and its great for getting around wooded areas and bushes let alone trashy areas. ive dug down 4 to 5 inches with it alot.if your looking for a coil to really teach you sounds and locating targets its a sweet little coil to have in your arsenal. ill be getting one for my sovereign GT when a deal on one comes up.
