What's the oldest dog tag you've ever found? I found this one today it expires 12-31-58 Gene

Hi Folks; 1949. We have a park here for pets that used to be an old school that was torn down.Now its an Athletc Field / Pet park.

That's amazing! I wouldn't have guessed that in 1909 any local government had "evolved" to the point where they were licensing dogs...
 
Hi Folks; Yes they actually started registering dogs prior to the Civil War for hunting purposes then it became "fashionable" to do it everywhere. PEACE:RONB
 
1967 for me here in Delaware. One of my favorite finds.
 
58 here, but always a welcome find as they are dated!! I like em as well as a silver coin.
