Whats the difference between the CZ-5 and CZ-6 series.Thanks.

nothing. The cz6 and 6a are splashproof and the cz5 isn't. All are great detectors and were way ahead of their time. Built like tanks and go DEEEEP. Bob.

6 and 6A versions had no outside speaker while the 5 model does....
CZ6 came out in approx. 92 and had a pigtail and molded 4 terminal coil connector that failed in many of them and was replaced by the CZ6A which got rid of the pigtail headphone connector and came with a convential coil connector that rarely failed and it it did could easily be repaired as it was not molded....Approx. 93 the CZ5 came along for those that preferred an outside speaker but unfortunately did not have the weather resistant qualities of the CZ6,6A models...
