what's the difference between the 1270 and 1270x:confused:

Some people just added the X there is no such thing as a 1270x.

Jup, that

Curious then why it is listed onthe website Under Relic Detectors as 1270X? Not disputing you but it is listed that way

You are right, 1270x is all over the page. Major typo or there is an X model out there.

High,
That sure beats me.
I own one and neither on the control box itself nor on the manual will you find an X after the 1270.
You could send an e-mail directly to the manufacturer.
Do not hold your breath though. I have never delt with any other manufacturer that is as bad as Fisher Labs in not responding to mails.
You send a mail to Whites and you get promt reply - almost immediately.

Go look at the Fisher home page. The 1270x is listed there.

Like I said.
Read the different manuals.
In them, the 1266 X and every other model are declared as such. On every page.
The 1270 is simply called the 1270 .
There is no X to be found anywhere.
How about your own detector ?
Do you see an X anywhere ?
On the sticker with the serial number ?
On the control box ?
In the manual ?

Go to fishers home page where they have everything listed. You will see they call it the 1270x. My detector doesn't have that badging but they list it as the 1270x. Look for yourself. HH

I done that already.
It is listed as such.
Too bad I ain

I bet Dave J knows the answer. I think I'll paint an X on mine, see if I can get a few more inches out of it.

Dave just wondering if you could help with the question in the post in the link above. Seems that some think there is a 1270 one with an x and one without. I checked the Fisher web site and they do call it a 1270X. Is there 2 models of the 1270 or one?

Thanks

Ron

I wasn't involved with the 1270 but as far as I know it was just one model with or without the X.
