hey everyone,
I have been using an ace 250 for a couple of years with the standard coil only.I do mostly coin hunting and hunt mostly old properties and parks.which optional coil would you guys recommend and why? thanks in advance!!! HH

metalfun, I just picked up a 5x8" DD coil for my Ace 250 and love it. Good coverage and much better separation in trash. I like to test my detectors where I pistol shoot. Shell casings everywhere. With the 5x8 I can pick out the individual cases. Couldn"t do that with the stock 6.5x9. Lightweight too.

If I could only get one, it would be the sniper coil ~ second choice, the DD coil

Coin hunting? Parks? Bear in mind that double "D" search coils love bottle caps. In other words, they falsely give a good coin signal reading for bottlecaps. So, if you are coin hunting in parks, you will be digging tons of bottle caps with a double "D" search coil.
My suggestion would be the Sniper search coil. If you have never used a Sniper search coil before, you will simply be amazed at the amount of good targets that you will be able to find in trashy areas.
Best of luck to ya! Happy Hunting!:)

its true about the sniper but you will only be able to cover 1/3 of the ground- get to know the stock coil real good it will pay off Z

Thanks guys keep the post comming.Iwas under the impression I would get more depth with the dd and i,ve heard great things about the sniper coil so now I dont know which one to get. More input please!!! HH
