I'd say "SKUNK"!! I hunted for 3 hours in the water and this is what I ended up with. A few toys and one measly dime. Pew-wee!!

BCD -sometimes we just have to "roll" with the punches.I have had days where a pulltab or a nail was the highlight of my trip lol. Maybe there is a deeper message here..... a plane trip some place nice? or maybe next time you will be "flyin' high" and with the abundance of coins / jewels, you will have to "dump" it out.

Has any one ever really considered that we are usually in the middle of at least a 2 to 10 acre area with a coil that covers way less than 1 square foot. And we get ticked off if we don't find much. We are very lucky to find anything. Need to say thank you to the folks that produce such great equipment. If it weren't for them we would have to result to witching rods. How much you goina find with those? I feel blessed with anything I find.

No complaints here, just made a vow to post all my hunts, no matter how sad the finds were. When I first started detecting, I was amazed to find 7-8 coins on a hunt. Even a bad day of treasure hunting is far better than a good day at work!!

[size=large]i don't think i've been skunked as long as i've found even i stinkin lincoln. it's a treasure hunt. someone lost it and you found it. you've inspired a lot of people with your finds. even those toys are making some little hunter want to go out and find themselves some of those. don't go gettin sad on us now. i'm gunna try water hunting as soon as i figure how to get a Good scoop set up. some of that crazy talk comes from reading your post so now i want to try it.

Looking at your post again BCD...you were in the right spot, toys mean kids, and kids mean wimmen, which mean gold or silver jewelry! Regarding work, most jobs now a days are often a temporary and unprofitable nuisance...
