when i first got my explorer i did have a hard time learning how to pinpoint with the 10 inch coil. looking back i found myself chasing targets rather then learning the detector.sometimes it was very frustating. when sunray came out with the stealth-5 i got one and it made learning the explorer much easier because pinpointing was right on i knew where the target was and i was able to study the machine alot better and just what it was telling me and i used the 5 incher alot to learn from.
now when ever i use the 10 incher it seems pin pointing is just another walk in the park.

Hi Stan,
I learned more about my Explorer with the new 8 inch Stealth coil as it made the Explorer smoother running and easier to understand. I had the 5 inch coil too and it too was nice, but I feel I learned more about the detector with the 8 inch on it and for anyone having a problem understanding the Explorer i would recomend either of the smaller coil.
