Whats going on with Kelly Co ?????

No Upper Shafts, Limited Lower shaft. Only 1 SEF coil 5x10 being offered and no others offered including the Pro coil. Is the E-Trac on its way OUT ????? Or is Kelly co going out

That would be the biggest mistake MineLab could make next to the CTX (Ooopps. Did I really say that?) The E-trac package evolution right on up from the Explorers is a great design and, I believe it was a mistake to totally move away from it into the CTX. They already had a proven underwater battery in the Excal and should have mated it with the E-trac in some fashion. I think they need to come out with a E-trac II and quietly forget the total redesign with all of it's flaws.

I agree with you. I'd like to see the E-trac ll. I think Kelly co is just reducing inventory. I don't understand why no Upper shafts or Pro coils are available. That's what drew a red flag in my mind.

Kellyco has always sucked and still do

I think all the noobs have all bought their detectors after watching Diggers and the word has gotten out that MDing is not the fast track to riches. There is an old saying from my photography days that would apply to detecting: if you want to make a small fortune in metal detecting, start out with a large one. With everyone trying to protect themselves from lawsuits and more and more places get shut down to detecting, I would bet we see some of the big companies go down. Kellyco has ridden the wave and the wave is cresting. Bet they don't last.

Minelab. Kelly Co is going nowhere. They may be waiting for the prices to go up. I did not think the Explorer would go away but as good a machine as it IS sales dictates everything. The Sovereign GT is another great machine that is slowly going by the wayside. A combination GT, SE Pro and E-Trac and waterproof now in my opinion would be a good machine for me. The CTX is close except for those damn 12-43 pennies. Maybe you should put an ad in the accessories forum hailing the sponsers for an upper shaft and coil. Some should come to your rescue. Run by the house and I will loan you one. HH :minelab:

No offence to anyone, but I don't even know a single hunter that uses KellyCo anymore (except for SEF coils). Check with the other great Finds sponsors. They may be able to assist and with usually a great deal to boot.

Yeah, almost any email I have ever sent to Kellyco has went unanswered.----It's about as bad on "supposed to be" call backs (by Kellyco)---many have never happened.----They were to call back after I contacted Kellyco regarding a potential purchase & the Kellyco sales person was too "busy" to take the call so had to leave a msg. & they would get back to me----yeah, right!-------Granted, that doesn't ALWAYS happen but SOP surely needs to be changed/improved in that regard.

Hmm, I'm new to this but my one and only interaction with Kelly Co customer service was great. Contacted their CS department (through the "Contact Us" form on their website, no less) one night last week regarding an issue I was having with a pinpointer that is under warranty. Received an RMA number and a FedEx shipping label the next morning. Shipped them the pinpointer, and I received a tracking number for a replacement pinpointer the same day they received my old one.

Can't get much quicker or more trouble-free. They'll get no complaints from me if I get service like that.

Mr. Knight responded to issues. He expressed all known issues are being worked on too. That is stand up in my opinion, and want to say "Thank you Mr. Knight", for addressing things here. And letting us know of your availability, intent, and willingness to resolve all issues.

I've purchased a number ot things from Kellyco over the years. The only problem I ever had was that their website alllowed items to be purchased even when they were not in inventory or available. I don't normally mind waiting for something that's on backorder, but I like to know that upfront. I'm not sure if their site has been updated know with a ral time inventory as I have not bought anything new in a while. Other than that their customer service has always been helpful and the SEF coils are great!
