What's better the little 5" Excelerator or the Eclipse

3x6 or 4x6 'Shooter' D-D EClipse, and it is better in dense trash than the 5.3 Eclipse. However, if you're looking for only one coil to compliment the stock 950, then the 5.3 Eclipse is the better pick, I feel. It is NOT a 5" sized coil, however. The 5.3 Eclipse, like the 5.3 labeled coils for the 6'59 kHz units, is a 6

P.S. I LOVE MY MXT. I UPGRADED FROM THE IDX PRO, WHICH I LIKED, BUT MY LOCAL DEALER GAVE ME A GREAT TRADE-IN PRICE. IF NOT, I WOULD HAVE KEPT IT BECAUSE IT WAS A FINE MD, AND IT DID ME WELL. MY GIRLFRIEND WANTS TO HUNT ALSO, AND I SUGGESTED THAT SHE SHOULD USE THE IDX PRO, BUT SHE WANTS A DEPTH METER. SO, I'M LOOKING AT GETTING ANOTHER MD, BUT NOT SURE WHICH ONE YET.
 
I got a 5" excellerator for a very trashy mill site. It is excellent at separation and discrimination. I'm a newbie pretty much and am learning the hobby with my MXT. I love it.
