What's a good set of headphones to use with the M6

Hi all, I was wondering what is a good set of headphones I could get to use with my M6? I'm presently using the set that came with my old ace 250,( which aren't very good). I suspect this may be the reason that I'm not hearing many deeper targets. I don't want to spend over a hundred dollars. Also I read somewhere that higher impedance headphones (+100ohms) were more sensitive to smaller targets. I know that there will be a lot of opinions, but keep in mind the price and I'm not really sure about the impedance. They also will need a volume control as the M6 doesn't have any..... Thanks

By the way I have been detecting for 14 years. I have a Minelab Sovereign Elite which I feel is a great machine but not what I need for detecting yards and parks.

I love Killer B's. I have used many but prefer the Killer B's by a long shot. I have very sensitive hearing. The killer B's has a softer tone to my? Greg ghost are excellent quality but for some reason their tone hurt me ears?? Many love them. Two great choices.

Thanks hammer, I have heard that killer bees are very good. Do you know what the impedance is?
(Not sure what you mean kc in wv) ?

Papa, I'm not sure. I just know it is a SOFTER tone if that makes sense? Gray Ghost are very high quality headphones. The tone they produce just hurt my ears. Like I stated I have very sensitive hearing. I'm not one for excessively loud or sharp noise!!! Haha

I will also say I have had excellent service e from Killer B. I actually ordered another pair last week. The set I wanted was a mix of two different models. When I asked if that was possible I was told not a problem but it would take a day or two to make. Custom made phones, two days to make and no extra cost. Should have them tomorrow.

The Sun Ray Pro Gold headphones are the best I've used.

I love my Star Pros by Whites abd they have a lifetime warranty

I have also used these for 4 years on my M6 and love them as said there good and very comfortable. I also have a set of Killer bees they work ok on the M6 , but not as enjoyable to use as the pro's are .
The pro's have a switch on them to limit loud sounds so they don't blow your ear's off . Only complaints I have is there full ear coverage makes them hot to wear in real warm summer weather but you will have that problem with any head phones with full ear cover cups on them regardless of the brand .. I keep a set of real small head phones for those real hot scorching summer days out in the sun .

A limiter switch is standard on most killer B models. If it is not you can add one for $10. I just received my newest set yesterday. Outstanding quality, all leather headband and ear pads, heavy duty cord & strain relief.

Sounds like it's going to be between the Sun Ray Pro and the Killer B's. I'm seeing good reports on the Killer B Wasps.... Any one out there using them on their M6?

Hey Pepa....I have a set of Killer B's Stinger model, which is the single cup design. I use them on my M6 and I love 'em!! They have a nice long cord and fit comfortably. The only drawback is, I'm kinda hard of hearing and I have to turn the volume all the way up. Sometimes it just doesn't seem like enough until I come upon an aluminum can....blows the one ear off!! Seems like I bought them on e-bay for under a $100 also....hope this helps out.:)
