What's a Good Digging Tool?

Hi,

I originally got my detectors for nugget hunting and for that I have a heavy duty pick for digging and a plastic trowel and cup for sorting. Lately I've been trying my MXT for coins and having fun, but my plastic trowel doesn't work too well for diggin in grass, cutting a neat plug and replacing things without much disturbance.

I see a number of different tools at the various online suppliers - what do you folks prefer for a tool to use in a park or baseball field or lawn where you need to be as unobtrusive as you can?

Thanks.

I like the Dig-It from http://www.jimmysierra.com/ I just checked and it isn't ont the page but there are other tools. You might find someone on the forum that has one.

The digging tool that seem to be the biggest sellers and work the best for most of us is the Lesche digging knife or the Predator digging knife made by George Lesche himself. He is one of the sponsors of these forums and make many different digging tools for your needs.

In my area's parks you can not use a Lesche style tool. Instead they like you to use a screw driver or other style probe. I use the coin popper from Jimmy Sierra's and it works great. HH Dennis in Idaho

I bought a Lesche 3 years ago and still use it. Before that I went through many. I am sure there has been some quality diggers come out. Fortunately I have not had to buy another. When the clay around here is to hard to dig I can pry it out with this thing. Has never even bent.
