From what I have been reading, it looks like battery usage will be high. So I need to get good rechargables for it. What are you all using?
PS...which should be the next item I purchace, the large coil or the hard case?

Mike,
I have been using an old pair of Plainview 9.6V 170 Mah Nimh batteries and getting good service from them. Shoulda bought 2 pairs tho! Check out Thomas Distributing's website as 9 V, like most other batteries keep getting better.
PS: don't get the cheap Maha's shown at the bottom of the page, they don't last more than 4-5 hours on a charge and 1 of them went bad in short order.

Duracell makes very good rechargeable high output battery. A little expensive but they last a long time in the detector. I'm using the AA batteries and they are rated at 2100 milliamps. HH, Mike
