What's a deep coin on the Ace?

I'm doing fairly well on coins/trash down to about 2inches. I know when pinpointing a coin the sound is definite when coil approaches or leaves the coin. My question: what is the reaction when pinpointing a coin that is deep, say 4-6 or even 8 inches? Is it just as definite? Also is the bell tone just as strong when a coin is deep? I haven't found any really deep coins yet. Thanks for your input. Lewis

The belltone will be about the same on any coin at any depth that your detector can detect. The pinpoint may be weaker on a deep coin or you may not get a signal at all if it's deep enough.
