what's a british one penny made of?

Hi

The modern one penny coin, From 1985 to 1991 was made of bronze.
After that date, They were made from copper plated steel.

I hope that was useful, Sorry can't help with the conversion.

Regards Chris

I believe it's probably the same mixture as a US one cent. The old pennies pre about 1970 were mostly copper. Since 1 British pound = about $1.85, an English penny is worth between 1 and 2 cents. Only telling you this since I'm originally from the UK and now living in the US.
