Hi All:
This is a Garden Fence Lizard (Calotes versicolor), a male, and he was none to happy to see me. They are common in South East Asia. He changed his head color from a light tan to orange in about 10sec, to warn me to keep away. He is about 8

Too bad he didn't give you more time to setup. It would have been really cool if you could have got a photo of each color change. Not a bad shot FOD, whenever I rush I always choke and totally blow the shot. <img src="/metal/html/frown.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":(">

just what is going through their little brain sometimes. Nice shot.

Thanks Nim;
It happens really fast. You probably could get a before and after with a still camera, if you could sneak up on him before he changes color. Or use a video camera. It would be fun to try.
fod:)

Thanks Dave;
Probably thinks ..."one more click from that thing with the glass eye, and I'm outta here!"
LOL
fod:)
