What you pay for when buying a Teknetics probe...???

Took my probe apart to tune it again...took some pics and a little air test...here are the pics...airtests are about 1 1/4" flat to the probe, and about 1/2" when on edge...

The guts of the probe:

The original LED on the board...This can be removed and leads put in place to mount it through a hole in the probe body so you can see it...Lights when target is found...

Coins flat to the probe nickel, dime and penny...about 1 1/4" from tip

Coin on edge to probe...about 1/2" from tip

Not much in there for the price you pay, and the Quality is sorely lacking in the case used to house this...You can also see the one variable resistor on the board...this adjusts the sensitivity of the unit...

I like the probe for 2 reasons only...You can push the tip through soft dirt (great for finding things in the plugs you remove), and the fact that is is a NO-Motion detector...
