What will the final outcome be? New Series of detectors like ACE 200, Ace 300 & Ace 400? or.....a totally new model platform?

I think nothing special ... Same and same only the color it will be different .... All same options and and same .

I would guess Z-link built in and Backlight for screen...maybe adjustable thershold...maybe call it AT-Z....??

New platform. It will be black, and not wireless. It may or may not be waterproof. The control box will be something totally new for Garrett.

An A T Pro platform with a smaller housing, better/easier coil connection, do away with the need for the head phone adapter and boost another couple inches of depth and I would be one happy camper. The A T is great in iron/trash and has wonderful modulated audio. HH jim tn

So, where are the batteries located?

looks to me like the back section by the armrest is thicker so maybe a rechargeable battery in the rear...we shall see soon...

No wireless headphones apparently.

Meh.

This might be it. Looks very light. I high hopes on this detector.

Hmmm, AA or rechargeable pack? Cordless HPs? Lighter? Deeper? Multifreq? Waterproof? Two more days...

Two more days.... No i can't wait. Waaaaaa wasps. Garrett company it's a secret because no one can catch any pictures of new models .

AT3
They've dropped the 'Pro' and skipped 2 as this is the third AT ( pin pointer not included )

It's deeper by way of new manual and offset ground balance both auto & manual

New screen but not color backlit from 0 - 10

New Tone Assign

New Easy Notch in blocks of 1 to 3 TID's

Large TID's easy vu

Ground Phase readout

Two versions, seperate for USA and Europe - more TID resolution in the Low to Mid conductors

New design coil - bi-axial style

New Slim control box incl. 4 AA inside

Twin headphone facility 1/4" & 1/8"

Waterproof 5 meters

New phone App AT Global - SD card records signal data to Google Maps

Weight 3.5lbs

MSRP$799.00

(all the above pure conjecture?)

I mean "Continue" to sell over-priced headphones....lol..I mean, an AT machine, but separate underwater headphones....with no volume control...glad I bought Amphibians..great on land too...

If the new AT is as effective for today's hunter as the AT3 was when it was introduced we are going to have a winner. I bought a new AT3 when they first came out & liked it so much I purchased a 2nd one. Those machines have treated me well over the 25+ years with a lot of extremely good finds & continue to produce today. Even with many hours of use, neither have ever been in for service. Like others on the forum, I'm anxiously awaiting the new AT.

...the AT3 tag was mere jocular speculation.

My honest 'gut feeling' is, we're about to see a completely new and revolutionary design?

ME2dig, 500 folks have viewed this thread in the last 24hrs so it's fair to say a lot of other folks are anxiously awaiting the New Garrett X? as am I
(I've been a Garrett user since 1979)

Last year, I got to Test, use and appreciate the ATPro International
But I made a big mistake: I saw it when it was first released but never ever used it until many years later!
I'm not going to make that mistake again. I'm planning on getting my hands on the New model at lightning speed!
